Medium: Watery Acrylic

Little Rock native Tim Jacob is best known for his signature “puddle painting” technique—an innovative method using watery acrylic overlays to create vibrant, fluid compositions. His work blends elements of contemporary impressionism and pointillism, offering dynamic pieces full of motion, light, and emotion. The technique was discovered by happy accident—after a morning coffee spill—and has since become a defining feature of his artistic voice.

His scenes often capture the stillness and solitude of winter, the richness of summer, and the reflective beauty of night traffic before, during, and after rain. His mesmerizing nighttime pieces, like Argenta Night and Roadside Distraction, are especially captivating for their depth and atmospheric quality.

A deeply personal touch runs through all of Tim's work—he doesn’t sign his paintings in the traditional sense. Instead, he hides the initials of his children, Justin and Taylor, in each piece, honoring them as his greatest inspiration.
