Spontaneity and intention characterize the work of Lola Abellán. Her work is basically aquatic painting- consisting of watercolor and inks- with incursions of other materials, preferably natural means, like organic fibers and papers made of cotton. The subjects of her work are inspired by nature and its movements. Lola tries to recreate the universe with a natural gesture that maintains a sequence to us, when we observe it. Often a common feeling between the painter, the work and the viewer coexists. Her streamlined search of balance, beauty and form, with preference to vertical compositions, leaves her in search of an elevated state of conscience. The agility of the outlines combines force and gentleness, intensity and softness. Lola prefers abstract, floral, exquisite colors and their transparencies. Taking subjects to the end of their simplicity and simultaneously of its magnitude forms the work of Lola Abellán.
